Growing up, I was always particular about what I wore. Even at a young age, I knew what I liked and what I didn’t. If my mum bought me something I didn’t like, I wouldn’t wear it.
Whenever she took me to a tailor, I already had an idea of what I wanted. I didn’t need a picture to explain it. I would describe the shoulders, the neckline, the shape and how I wanted the different parts of the outfit to come together. I could see the design in my mind, and I wanted the finished garment to look exactly the way I had imagined it.
Many times, it didn’t.
But those experiences made me realise something very early: I wasn’t simply particular about what I wore. I had a natural desire to create.
As I grew older, that became even more evident. Whenever I went to the market, I would find different pieces I loved and imagine how they could work together. I could take simple pieces, combine them in a different way and create something that people noticed. What looked like a collection of clothes to someone else was, to me, a collection of possibilities.
That curiosity never left.
It grew into a passion for fashion, and that passion eventually became JAEDEE.
Today, JAEDEE is a reflection of that same girl who could see a design in her head before anyone else could see it. The difference is that she now has a brand through which those ideas can become real.
From the first thought to the final piece, JAEDEE continues to be driven by the same love: the desire to create fashion that feels personal, meaningful and worth remembering.
A love for clothes became a passion for creating them. That passion became JAEDEE.
